Alright y'all, once your heads have exploded from Tino's baller playlist, I've got some music that'll help you cool down and relax. I'm jumping all over the place today, touching on folk again, soft rock, and some blues, so sit back, reflect on your accomplishments, and chill out.

First up is a band that the man-among-men Tino suggested to me, and as usual it turned out to be an excellent find. The band's name is Mount Moriah, they're an indie folk group out of North Carolina that's got a strong Appalachian folk feel. They formed in the past couple years, and just released their first album this past April. Tino's favorite song is Lament, excellent, though mine may be Old Gowns. Here's a few of their best:

One of my favorite artists at the moment is Bon Iver, who I think takes a masterful mix of folk and a blues feeling, and creates some really soulful music. His two favorite songs of mine are "Skinny Love" and "Creature Fear", though in his recordings he abruptly cuts off the end of creature fear. He improvises the end in concert, which makes for an awesome ending. Here are some of his songs, I highly recommend you check out the rest of his stuff.

There's also a really good cover of "Skinny Love" by an artist named Birdy, just came out this past winter. She keeps the excellence of the original song and gives it her own powerful touch.

Kyle first introduced me to John Butler a few years ago, so this next section is courtesy of him. John Butler Trio is a group headed by John Butler, who's been in the music scene for a while now. By far the most important thing to hear from him is "Ocean", a purely instrumental piece that is simply amazing. Take a look at the video below and just watch his hands once he gets going. Plus, he has sweet dreds.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, here's's the playlist. It has taken a lot of work, but there was more enjoyment in it than work. Every single song there is there for a reason, trust me; a lot of thought went into it. There's a lot of filthy dub, and what isn't really dubstep has very deep basslines that can keep you going slowly while you take a breather (heh :-P)

All you have to do is click on play all, then select shuffle as an option in the bottom right, scroll to the front of the playlist (by clicking on the arrow in the bottom left repeatedly until you cant anymore) and then click on the first song. After that, just sit back and listen.

It's almost 4 hours long, so if you run out of music, you're getting close to the viagra limit and you should take yourself to see a doctor, because either you're inhuman or something very bad is about to happen.

For this playlist in particular, it's very important to listen on something that has very good bass. Just good bass won't cut it. If you have a speaker system with a subwoofer, that is preferable. Most headphones will not do the trick, even if they're pretty good. Also, try to listen to the songs on HD, it makes a huge difference. I will have a folder with all the HD mp3's soon so that you can import them into your music library and turn them into a playlist, but until then, youtube is all we've got.

Today has been an awesome day. Lot's of work that I had to do, but there's something about filtering through hundreds of sweet songs that really makes your day. I'm talking of course of the dubstep playlist going up in the near future. I've got some "power followers" giving it a listen, and based on their feedback, I'll post it soon.

But first, I've got some treats for you.

Those of you who know me know that I LOVE KE$HA. And dubstep. So what on this planet could possible by better than some dirty dirty Ke$ha dubstep remixes? I'm not sure. Probably nothing

Just for the record - whenever you listen to a youtube video, make sure it's in HD. Because the sound quality definitely makes a difference. Especially with these super bass-intensive songs. And if you have a sub-woofer - even better.

BIG NEWS. Later today, or maybe tomorrow, I plan on releasing a playlist (maybe two) of some sex music. And by sex music I mean music that is good to do the deed to. Should be fun.
